If so, APSEA Connect invites you to join us for a 4-week virtual sign language program with our ASL Specialists and/or Deaf Mentors to learn basic ASL (American Sign Language) words and phrases. Prior to each session, an agenda with topics to be discussed will be sent to participants. Each week will consist of a whole group mini lesson where you will learn some foundational ASL skills, along with the opportunity to learn and practice words and phrases in small groups covering the following themes:

  1. greetings and checking on a student (good morning, what's wrong?)
  2. safety and emergency signs (fire alarm, lockdown)
  3. transitions (zip up your coat, line up)
  4. directions on the playground (beyond NO! and STOP!)

Registration will close when capacity is reached or by April 8, 2024. Space is limited.
