Story Squad is an online program for students who are blind or have low vision. Through engaging stories, conversation, and movement, students explore important topics like friendship, emotions, confidence, problem-solving, and speaking up for themselves — all in a way that feels fun, safe, and supportive.  

Learners in this program will have opportunities to:

  • Learner will have the opportunity to build social skills, and learn ways to manage their emotions.
  • Students will also strengthen key Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) skills, including social interaction, self-determination, and independent learning.
  • Story Squad celebrates differences, encourages connection, and helps students see themselves as capable members of their school and communities.

Audience: Grade 1–5
Facilitators: Jessa Carr- Education Support Teacher (BLV), and Jennifer Fancy -Education Support Specialist - Mentor (BVI)
Program Length: 4 Weeks

Mondays
9:15 – 10:00 a.m. (AST) / 9:45 – 10:30 a.m. (NST)

Registration

Online learning programs are for students who qualify for APSEA services. Registration must be completed by their APSEA Education Support Teacher (EST). Contact your APSEA Education Support Specialist to register.
